GDA -Hyderabad is designed with resort or modern ashram like environs, in fact, a natural learning ecosystem is being developed to give a feeling of peace and serenity like Gurukul but with a modern look and feel, yet the retaining the richness and essence of our tradition.
Funky perforated facade design with lavish flora laid out in the backdrop gives a soothing feel and stabilises the agitated mind. Its natural vibes leave a deep impact as far as enhancement of learning abilities are concerned.
All classrooms have a projector and wide sliding whiteboard to provide them sufficient room for expressing themselves without letting go of other ideas. Embedded rich and varied colour patterns have the powerful effect in boosting a range of good emotions which in turn reinforces learning.
Huge outside space is allocated with sitting provisions to allow study and long duration interaction with ease; this openness help students to explore their interpersonal skills and team working capabilities. Mingling with classmates and teachers in an unsupervised atmosphere actually gives them the freedom to express their true feelings, uplifts confidence and allows their creative juices to flow, which is quite crucial for holistic brain development. Also, this open space acts as a community gathering spot when needed.
Features like concrete structures with arching frame igloos, sculpted grass seats, extra wide corridors, and series of a rectangular pergola with climbers and creepers etc., makes it a very cosy place to play around and learn. Multiple contrasting colours set the tone ranging from fun, frolic, and enjoyment to actual participation; all this initiates a good honing of mental acuities and cognition abilities.
Prominent yellow wall with descending curve juxtaposition by high vertical rising maroon coloured beams of the entrance gate gives a very welcoming look to it. Basketball court on the right-hand side of the entrance path to the main building gives a good sense of playfulness and signals receptivity for young minds.
From the very beginning, we had the idea to build modular digital classrooms amidst nature to promote an inclusive and collaborative teaching environment which forms the backbone of the entire learning system so that it can enhance focused learning in these calm settings. As a matter of fact, allowing freedom and fluidity in a learning experience and expressions are the true core values etched in this school’s constructional DNA which benefits students by making them an integral part of this high paced study surroundings.
